Being a Senior Citizen, I cannot recall specific dates, but I do remember the club presidents. I first joined the club when Ron Caldwell was president. I stepped away for a while and rejoined when Ronald Moore was president and have been a member ever since. I heard about the club via a local community newspaper where the club announced their meetings and invited people to attend. I had just purchased a Nikon N65 SLR and wanted to learn how to use it. I love to take travel photos and street scenes I now have a Nikon D750 and I am still on the learning curve for this camera. My fellow club members are helping me out a lot.
I am currently a part-time professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology where I teach business technology courses. I was also a corporate trainer at JPMorgan Chase, so I thought my training background would be helpful in working with the club’s Programs and Education Committee. I am now the committee chairperson.
I grew up in the Springfield Gardens/St. Albans area and went to the High School of Music and Art in Manhattan where I studied music. In addition to photography, I love to travel, read, and entertain.
